Send a Post-Election Message
Take this opportunity to tell our new congressional leaders it's time is take global warming action!
Posted: 07-Nov-2006; Updated: 08-Nov-2006
The election is over and America has spoken.
While the Senate remains too close to call, it's clear that we will be working with a new Democratic majority in the House. We must take this opportunity to send an important message about global warming -- the most threatening environmental issue of our time.
Send an email to incoming Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, urging her to make national global warming action a top-tier priority. We are running out of time!
Then, take the next step and enlist your friends and family in our historic campaign to fight global warming. We need all the help we can get to keep up the pressure.
The makeup of Congress has changed, but two things haven't changed at all:
- Prompt national action to fight global warming grows more important with each passing day; and
- We continue to face determined resistance from big polluters and special interests, who stubbornly oppose action on global warming.
We need your help now more than ever to maintain constant grassroots pressure and to make the most of this opportunity to demand global warming action.
We promise that we will do everything we can to get the new Congress to take meaningful legislative action next year.
2007 is a critical year. We've built momentum, and now we need Congress to act. Help us deliver that message today.
Send an email to incoming Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.
